Overview
Stryker 150A-B: Cordless 150-Amp Battery Stick Welder for Job Sites Without Power
The Stryker 150A-B is a 150-amp battery-powered stick (SMAW) welder that runs on a built-in 48 V, 2400 Wh lithium-ion battery: no generator, no extension cord and no exhaust. A full charge delivers 4+ hours of continuous welding (105 × 3/32 in or 45 × 1/8 in electrodes), with a 100% duty cycle at 25°C and a 3.5-hour recharge from its 120 V AC charger.
Designed for smaller fabrication and repair operations, it welds material up to 1/4–3/8 in (6–10 mm) thick, and thicker sections when the joint is beveled and filled with a root pass and fill passes. With no engine, it goes where a corded machine can't: residential job sites, remote repairs and work right beside the joint. 50 mm Dinse output connectors make cable changes fast, and two sets of vibration dampers protect the internals and keep the machine planted.
Key Features
- 10–150 A output, 100% duty cycle at 25°C (IEC rating): Weld continuously without waiting on a duty-cycle cool-down at room temperature.
- 48 V, 2400 Wh lithium-ion battery: 4+ hours of continuous welding per charge; a short recharge stretches it to a full workday.
- 3.5-hour full charge: 120 V AC / 60 Hz charger with 56.4 V, 15 A output.
- Zero emissions: No engine and no exhaust, ideal for residential job sites.
- Cordless output: Reaches spots a corded machine cannot.
- 50 mm Dinse connectors: Attach and remove cables quickly when moving between locations.
- Two sets of vibration dampers + 2 automatic cooling fans: Protect the internals on rough sites.
- Rated for Canadian conditions: Operates from -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F); charges from 0°C to 45°C.
- Stryker America warranty: Parts and labour coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Stryker 150A-B battery last?
4+ hours of continuous welding on a full charge, which is about 105 electrodes at 3/32 in (2.5 mm) or 45 electrodes at 1/8 in (3.25 mm). A short recharge during breaks stretches that to a full workday.
How long does the Stryker 150A-B take to charge?
About 3.5 hours for a full charge from its 120 V AC / 60 Hz charger (56.4 V, 15 A output). Charge between 0°C and 45°C.
How thick can the Stryker 150A-B weld?
Material up to 1/4–3/8 in (6–10 mm) thick. Thicker sections can be welded when the joint is beveled and filled with a root pass and fill passes.
Can I use a battery-powered welder in a Canadian winter?
Yes. The 150A-B is rated to operate from -20°C to 40°C, but it must be charged between 0°C and 45°C, so bring it inside to recharge in winter.
Can I weld right next to the work or indoors?
With no engine there is no exhaust, so the welder can sit close to the joint. You still need to control welding fumes with ventilation or extraction, and keep the unit away from water and heavy moisture.
What duty cycle does the Stryker 150A-B have?
100% at 25°C (IEC rating), so at room temperature you can weld continuously within its 10–150 A range until the battery needs a charge.
What warranty comes with the Stryker 150A-B?
It is backed by the Stryker America manufacturer's warranty covering parts and labour. Contact MapleWeld at 905-919-1177 for full terms.
