Stay-Silv 15% Silver Brazing Alloy 1/8" (14 Stick Tube)

Harris Stay-Silv® 15 is a 15% Silver PhosCopper Brazing Alloy (AWS A5.8 BCuP-5) that has long served as an industry standard, particularly for air conditioning and refrigeration connections. This filler metal excels in situations where close fit-up is not possible and where joints must withstand thermal expansion and service vibration. Its wide melting range allows operators to effectively fill loose connections and "cap" or build up the finished joint, though it will flow into tighter spaces when heated above its liquidus temperature. Primarily used for brazing copper (which is self-fluxing with this alloy), Stay-Silv 15 can also braze brass with the use of a proper flux, and is generally suitable for low nickel copper/nickel base metals (up to 10% Ni); however, it is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous metals due to insufficient joint ductility.
