Arc flash screening and spark containment. These are the products that stop your welding from becoming someone else's injury or someone else's fire, and they are almost always bought after an incident rather than before one.

Curtains and screens

Welding curtains block arc flash from reaching people working nearby. Shade and transparency are a trade: darker material gives better protection and worse visibility for supervision. Frames and rails let you reconfigure a bay rather than committing to fixed booths.

Blankets

Fire and spark blankets protect what you cannot move - flooring, machinery, finished work, and anything combustible within spatter range. Rated by continuous and intermittent temperature, not by thickness. A blanket rated for spatter is not automatically rated for slag or cutting.

Specify by the hazard, not the price

Grinding throws further than welding. Oxy-fuel cutting throws further and hotter than either. Match the rating to the worst process you run in that bay, then buy once.
