E6013 welding rod, ideal for AC/DC welding, excels in thin-sheet structures. Popularly known as the 'sheet metal rod' for its mild-steel, Rutile-based composition, it offers excellent slag control and smooth backside formation, making it perfect for sheet metal welds with minimal oxidation.

The E6013 welding rod is a versatile and user-friendly cellulose-based rod suitable for both AC and DC welding currents. Its all-position design ensures a stable arc, making it ideal for applications with poor joint fit-up. The rod deposits easily and smoothly, providing medium to shallow penetration, making it well-suited for quick welds with a good appearance. Widely used in general-purpose fabrication, metal buildings, machine parts, and more, it excels in welding vehicle bodies, tanks, chassis, and thin-sheet structures. Known as the 'sheet metal rod' or 'easy rod,' it is recognized for its mild-steel, Rutile-based composition, making it popular among beginners and professionals. The flux coating contains various materials, including ferromanganese, cellulose, rutile, and potassium silicate, allowing operation with AC at low amperages. The rod's burning process eliminates slag trapping, resulting in a smooth backside slag formation with minimal oxidation. This feature is particularly beneficial for root pass welds, especially in pressurized situations. With excellent slag control and suitability for all positions, the E6013 welding rod is well-suited for applications such as sheet metal lap and fillet welds, shining in thin sheet metal projects requiring good wetting and shallow penetration.
