The MapleWeld ProDuty 94 is a professional auto-darkening welding helmet with 4 independent arc sensors, two variable shade ranges (DIN 5–8 and DIN 9–13), a DIN 4 grind mode and a 1/25,000-second (0.04 ms) switching lens. A 100 × 50 mm (3.94 × 1.97 in) window with 1/1/1/2 optics, an infinitely variable 0.1–1.0 s delay, two replaceable CR2450 batteries backed by solar power, a low-battery alarm and an ADF self-check button keep it working shift after shift. It operates from -5°C to +55°C and stores down to -20°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ProDuty 94 good for low-amp TIG welding?

Yes. It is rated for AC and DC TIG from 5 A, the lowest rating in the MapleWeld lineup above, and its 4 sensors give the filter more chances to catch a small, low-glare arc.

Why does a welding helmet need 4 arc sensors?

More sensors mean the filter still darkens when one or two are blocked by your hand, the workpiece, a pipe or an overhead position. Two-sensor helmets are more likely to flicker or stay light in those positions.

What is the difference between the ProDuty 94 and the NovaSight 55?

Both have 1/25,000 s switching, 1/1/1/2 optics and a DIN 4 grind mode. The ProDuty 94 adds two more arc sensors (4 vs 2), a DIN 5–8 range for plasma cutting, TIG down to 5 A (vs 10 A), a larger 100 × 50 mm view (vs 93 × 43 mm) and two CR2450 batteries. The NovaSight 55 sets its shade on an external dial.

What shade ranges does the ProDuty 94 have?
